Swinburne University of Technology has soared 19 places to number 24 in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2024, becoming the top-ranked Victorian university.

The result builds on Swinburne’s position as one of the world’s top 50 young universities, lifting it into the top 25 for the first time.

Among Australian universities, Swinburne is one the strongest movers in the rankings, climbing from 43rd position in 2023 and 50th place in 2022.

The latest ranking success follows Swinburne’s success in other university metrics, including its top 250 result in the 2024 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and top 300 result in the QS World University Rankings 2024.
