The University of Wollongong (UOW) has climbed 17 places to rank equal 44th in the world and 9th in Australia in the 2024 edition of the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. The result reflects commitment to meeting United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, locally and globally.

A record 1,963 institutions participated in the 2024 rankings, 23 per cent more than last year, making UOW’s result even more impressive.

The THE Impact Rankings assess universities’ research, stewardship, outreach and teaching against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
