Shirley Zhang from China: ACIC student

The Dream

To obtain PR in Australia.

The Difficulties

Shirley and her partner lodged TR 485 by themselves. Shirley was the dependant and her partner was the main applicant. She came to ACIC to enquire about her PR application. However, she was not aware that she cannot lodge PR 885 as a 485 visa dependant.

The Process

As Shirley has already passed 6 months deadline from her previous degree completion date and has no student visa, ACIC senior counsellor and RMA Eric designed for her to take a relevant course on her BVA and advised her how to meet the requirement for offshore PR 175 applicant. Also, Eric helped her to catch the deadline of policy change and successfully lodged 175 visa application on 30/6/2011 (before the new policy of 1/7/2012).

The OUtcome

After 9 months waiting, she and her partner received visa approval recently.

Comment from student

Thanks to ACIC especially Eric Wu and his team for the effort they shown in helping us acquiring TR and just a few days ago, PR. It can't be done that easily without their dedicated service. I am so glad that I have chosen ACIC as my migration agent which has now proven to be one of the best decisions I have ever made.

ACIC has long been a reputable migration agent and Eric is one of their best consultants with heaps of experience in student and migration service. We decided to choose ACIC among tens of other agents because of the information we received from former graduates and migrants, and after doing some internet research. They have a track record of success and in case there were some rare situations in which they can't help they would have given you other advice at the first stage of interview when you first visited them. Their advice is updated and accurate which saves you time and money. After the first interview you will have all the time frames and the list of materials needed which you have to prepare in order to file an application.

Excellent service is all ACIC stands for. Whenever you call ACIC there is certainly a polite and helpful receptionist answering and transferring your call. Here I would also like to thank Eric's assistant Rebecca Zhang for her dedicated service in which she is so patient, responsive, and professional, in dealing with my enquires. Some minor jobs are actually done by Rebecca and without her prompt service, we may not be able to make some of the college intake deadlines which are essential to our application.

The later stage of the application is actually wait and wait, since we have submitted all the required materials to Eric and he has filed an application with all the docs. However since it has been a long period of time in which we heard nothing from the government we decided to call Eric regularly to raise our concern. Eric has been so calm and patient as he knows exactly what is going to happen next since he is so experienced.

We will definitely recommend ACIC and Eric to anyone needed student and migration service to Australia. I wish ACIC will continue its great service with an enhenced track record of success and Eric to continue developing his team in order to serve many more of the potential migrants.

Once again, thanks ACIC and Eric for your service and support in our migration journey to Australia.
