Ling xiao zhou from China, ACIC Student, 2011

The Dream
To achieve higher qualifications in Australia.

The Challenge
Ling Xiao was already studying a Bachelor degree in Australia and wants to do further studies to upgrade his skills and qualifications.

The Process
After being introduced by a friend, Ling Xiao came to ACIC for help in around 2008. At the beginning, his counselor Nalumi advised him of the different options available after he graduates from his bachelor degree.  The options include upgrading to top universities to study a Master program.

At that time, Nalumi assisted Ling Xiao to receive 3 offers from UNSW, University of Melbourne and ANU. Ling Xiao then decided to study the Master of Technology at UNSW, majoring in Artificial Intelligence and Bioinformatics.

The Outcome

Ling Xiao has now graduated from UNSWs master degree. In 2011, he returned to ACIC for advice on further studies and migration.

Through his long term ACIC counselor, Nalumi, successfully helped Ling Xiao to receive a PhD offer Computer Science & Engineering from UNSW. Remarkably, this only took 4 weeks (compared to normal processing time of 3 months or more).

Furthermore, our ACIC migration consultant Eric, is helping Ling Xiao to apply for PR so he can stay in Australia over the long term.

The comment from the student
All those successes can not be departed from your professional assistance which I am appreciating for. Thank you very much!
