The Dream

To study a Masters of International Business in a famous university.

The Difficulties
To study at a famous university such as the University of Melbourne or the University of Sydney, there is a relatively high IELTS requirement of 6.5.

The Process
In helping Chia-Chi to achieve her dream of studying at a famous university, ACIC prepared Chia-Chi a thorough study path. Firstly, ACIC advised her to study at a leading English college, ACL. After completing her English program, it was felt that Chia-Chis English level has not yet reached the IELTS requirement and that she should study a little bit more English. Chia-Chi agreed to the suggestion and indeed, those extra few weeks of English helped Chia-Chi enormously and she successfully achieved the IELTS requirement of 6.5.

ACIC then helped Chia-Chi to enrol in the Masters of International Business at the University of Melbourne.

The OUTcome
Chia-Chi has since successfully graduated from the Masters of International Business and returned to ACIC for further advice. She wanted to study something difficult and ACIC suggested translation as it was both challenging and useful.

Chia-Chi then enrolled in a Masters of Translation at the University of Western Sydney. She has successfully graduated from this course in July 2005. At the same time, she applied for PR in Australia and her application was approved in October 2005. Currently, Chia-Chi is happily on holidays in Taiwan and has also started to look for a full time job.

The comment from the student
I am really grateful to the help from ACIC and Kitty so that I do not need to worry or trouble about applying to universities. Thanks also to ACIC Sydney office and especially to Kitty who has helped and taken care of me.
