Changes to Migration Policies
The Australian government is currently reviewing its migration policy. In particular, the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL) is being reviewed, which affects the number of points granted to certain professions for PR application. Many students have asked how it might affect their PR application such as students studying commercial cookery, community welfare, etc.
Also, PR applications has recently been subjected to priority processing. A new priority list details which categories of applicants will be processed first. For example, students who are employer sponsored under the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) or the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) receive the highest priority.
To find out more and how it might affect you, please contact Eric (firstname.lastname@example.org), our ACIC migration agent in our Sydney office. Eric will be able to answer your PR related questions and assists in the lodging of your application as well.
